We’re pleased to announce the release of Witboost 2.11, a new version focused on strengthening governance, improving flexibility in descriptor management, and expanding the capabilities of Witty across the platform.

One of the key additions in this release is Approval Gates for system deployment, which introduces configurable approval workflows based on both system type and target environment. This gives organizations a more precise way to control how Data Products, Agents, and ML Models move across Dev, QA, and Prod, while keeping deployment processes aligned with enterprise governance requirements.
Another major improvement is Dynamic Enrichment of Descriptors. Descriptors can now be enriched with information coming from the platform, repository files, and policy results. The first available provider adds deployment status by environment, making descriptors more informative and more useful as a live operational artifact rather than just a static specification.
Witboost 2.11 also expands the role of AI in the user experience with Witty Skills, which make it possible to customize and extend Witty for data discovery and other tasks.
Together with Witty Chat History and Witty Streaming Responses, this release makes interactions with Witty more continuous, responsive, and adaptable to different use cases.
This version also includes several improvements across governance, usability, and administration. Highlights include Promotion Path Policies to enforce deployment progression rules across environments, a new Access Control pending requests view for reviewing and processing access requests in bulk, Business Concept Picker and Business Concept Map support for Consumables for stronger semantic modeling, and Git Providers Configuration in the Administration Panel to manage Git providers without redeploying the platform.
Additional enhancements such as Descriptor References, Custom View for descriptor preview in Edit & Test, RBAC role cloning, and broader Helm chart and scheduling support continue to improve day-to-day operations for both platform teams and end users.
