We've recently pushed Witboost 2.9.0 live!

This release empowers enterprises to scale data product management with greater autonomy, automation, and control—built for the era of agentic development.

Let's go over the exciting new features:

CLI Descriptor Generation in Witboost's CLI

In the era of agentic coding, developer productivity is everything. Witboost 2.9.0 introduces a CLI for Descriptor Generation, bringing Witboost's core functionalities directly into the tools developers already use—including Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.

Teams can achieve a new level of productivity with data product management available natively through a CLI, allowing AI coding agents to interact with the platform as a natural part of the development workflow.

Team Roles in Witboost's Control Plane

Managing data product ownership at enterprise scale has always been one of the most complex organizational challenges. With the introduction of Team Roles, data product teams can now define internal roles, assign them to individual team members, and delegate specific accountabilities in a structured and flexible way.

This means, for example, that Access Request approvals can be delegated to another team member or to an external governance stakeholder—removing bottlenecks and creating the conditions for truly sustainable, distributed ownership across large and complex organizations.

Personal Access Token in Witboost's Control Plane

On the integration front, Personal Access Tokens now enable all platform APIs to be invoked with a personal token. This simplifies integration with code assistants and AI-powered development tools, making it seamless to embed Witboost into existing toolchains without complex authentication overhead.

Service Accounts on Full Power in Witboost's Control Plane

Rounding out the release, Service Accounts have received a major upgrade. Service Accounts used in CI/CD pipelines or system-to-system integrations now fully support Git operations, unlocking end-to-end automation across the entire data product delivery process without manual intervention.
